• Getting exactly 12 out of 13 right happens about 0.049% of the time, roughly 16 times more often than getting all 13.

Covering every game with triples guarantees a win in theory, but on 13 games that's 1,594,323 lines, which is why nobody does it.

A simple rule: decide your total weekend budget first, then see what ticket shape fits inside it. Never build the "perfect" ticket and then find the money for it.

Is a jackpot ever good value?

You can check value with one line of maths: expected value of the top prize = prize ÷ number of tries needed to win once. Take an illustrative 13-game jackpot with a GH₵100,000 prize and our 1-in-32,200 chance per line. The top prize is worth about 100,000 ÷ 32,200 ≈ GH₵3.10 per line. If a line costs GH₵10, you're paying 10 for about 3.10 of top-prize value, plus whatever the consolation prizes add.

Two things usually make the real number worse than that simple sum:

1. Shared prizes. When favourites win, lots of people get the same result, and a shared jackpot gets split. The weekends you're most likely to win are the weekends you'd share the most.
2. Tougher game selection. Operators tend to choose close matches, so 45% per pick is generous for most punters.

Value can improve when a jackpot rolls over and the prize grows without the cost per line going up. Even then, treat it as a ticket, not an investment.
