BetGhanaHub: Honest Betting Guides for Punters in Ghana

Updated October 2026 · By the BetGhanaHub team

betting in Ghana - football stadium panorama

Charley, welcome. BetGhanaHub is the guide I wish someone had given me before my first slip: honest about the risks, clear about the costs in cedis, and written for people who actually live in Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi or Tamale.

What's on the site

Everything here is written for Ghanaian punters. Amounts start in cedis (GH₵), football examples use the Ghana Premier League, the Black Stars and the big European competitions, and the payment guides start from MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash and bank transfer, because that's how most of us move money.

Straight talk about licences

Betting in Ghana is regulated by the Gaming Commission of Ghana under the Gaming Act, 2006 (Act 721). The offshore brands we link to are not licensed by the Commission. Cloudbet holds a Curaçao licence; BetUS, VegasAces and SlotsParadise are offshore too and accept Ghanaian players for crypto only. Our legal guide explains what that means in practice.

We earn commission when you sign up through some links. It never decides what we write.

Four rules before you stake a pesewa

  1. Fix a monthly betting budget in cedis that won't touch rent, school fees or chop money.
  2. Treat every stake as spent the moment you place it.
  3. Set deposit limits on every account on the first day.
  4. If it stops being fun, call the Mental Health Authority free on 0800 678 678.
